ELEMENT’S Jar XLRATOR is designed to increase the jar's jarring force. It runs in conjunction with the fishing jar. Its primary operation is to provide acceleration to the upper tool string of the jar during the free jarring stroke. The XLRATOR is basically a compressed spring that stores strain energy. When the strain is removed, the stored energy is released, accelerating and boosting the top jarring action. The top jarring action thus creates a direct impact on the fish. In addition, the hydraulic fluid in the jar acts a cushion and helps to absorb the shock from the rebounding drill string after the jarring stroke, protecting both the drill tools and fishing
